Sip Summer with eco-friendly straw

Jun 22, 2018

Toss toxic plastic straws for an eco-friendly alternative.

Stainless steel reusable straws are a safe substitute that’s environmentally-friendly, BPA-free and affordable!

Anytime you can make the switch from a one-time-use product to a reusable product, you’ll be doing yourself and the environment a favor. When it comes to straws, that means tossing plastic straws in favor of reusable straws–the options range from stainless steel straws to glass straws and even bamboo straws, but we recommend those made from 304-grade 18/8 stainless steel.

This grade of stainless steel speaks to the straws quality, durability and temperature resistance, while the numbers (18/8, 18/10, etc.) refer to the amount of chromium and nickel (respectively) in the product.

As not all stainless steel is created equal, it is important to note 304-grade 18/8 stainless steel is of superior quality–it’s durable, corrosion-resistant, rust-resistant (the chromium binds oxygen to the surface of the product to protect the iron from oxidation) and will not leach into foods.

Stainless steel reusable straws are dishwasher safe, and we recommend rinsing the straws with a handy Straw Cleaner brush after use. Available now on https://www.jrink.com.hk/product-page/stainless-steel-straws-set.
