As we enter a new year and approach the warmest season of all,
we found ourselves reflecting once again:
What kind of vessel can truly accompany a quiet moment of tea?
Perhaps it is the first matcha of the morning,
a brief pause in the middle of the day,
or a small moment shared with family during the holidays.
We hoped to create a chawan that could hold these moments—quiet, steady, and sincere.
This led us to a pottery studio in Japan,
where we worked closely with artisans to refine its form, balance, and touch.
Each piece is hand-thrown and hand-glazed,
with natural variations of caramel orange, soft white, and wood-toned hues.
No two chawans are ever the same.
